Have you ever had a flash where you felt as if something wasn’t right? Perhaps getting into a parking zone late in the dark, or feeling negative around someone without knowing why? And if you’ve endured this before, have you ever shrugged it off, dropping it as illogical absurdity?
As a society, we’ve discovered to believe that rationality is what should prevail when making choices about anything from crucial business alliances to what to eat for lunch. But what of that “inner voice,” that gut feeling, that tiny something instinctual from within that tells us how we feel beneath those layers of logic?
Intuition may be a heightened, refined sense aside from our five senses. Intuition isn’t easily recognized because it’s tough to sense apart from once we are in-tuned with who we are on the within, the important side the soul if you think in it. That’s why it’s more complicated than any emotion. Some people confuse it with instinct. But they both are quite the opposite.
Instinct is that the first biological and psychological thought that comes first to our mind once we are faced with a specific situation. It’s raw emotion, and a few instincts aren’t correctly serving our purposes nowadays but had better purposes once we were living in caves.
Intuition may be a signal that we get whether something is right or not, good or bad for us supported little or no information about it. That’s why we cannot explain Intuition with perfect reasoning. Even when there’s a good reason for us, ‘other people’ cannot know it since it’s ‘felt’ or experienced only by that individual on a deep level.
Intuition has got to do with our connection to the planet around us. It’s more refined and not raw like an instinct. It gives biological or physical signals supported, which we decide if something is sweet or not for us. Intuition is additionally expressed through our ‘gut’ — the way we sense in our whole body, notably the stomach while some circumstances.
Instinct may be a common trait in every human and animal. But good Intuition is a gift. Not all possess it, or it’s not even experienced by many around us. It can’t be developed or learned that easily since it’s not a skill.
We can ‘sense’ and ‘know’ things even before we’ve enough information about the condition or situation. That’s why it takes a brave heart, a courageous person to believe Intuition because an individual who isn’t in-tuned with who he/she easily ignores an intuitive signal since it’s a touch vague and takes some deep level intelligence to know it.
Intuition may or might not be 100% true, but it sure gives one a foothold in making decisions that one can otherwise not be ready to make.
Do you trust your Intuition? Are you aware of just what proportion you believe it? There has been extensive psychological research on Intuition, and you’ll improve it, but it boils right down to two things:
- Awareness – just how often does one believe your Intuition.
- Active steps to enhance Intuition.
Awareness: First, you should understand just how you’re currently using your Intuition to form essential life decisions. Try this, get a bit of paper and divide it into two columns. At the highest of 1 column, write “Times when my intuition was right”.
Write down the days in your life (or recently) once you were glad you listened to your Intuition. These are the days once you acted on your Intuition a few feeling, a person, or a situation, and you were pleased with the results.
At the highest of the opposite column write “Times I didn’t follow my intuition and paid the price”. This is often an inventory of times once you ignored, or did not heed your Intuition and therefore the results weren’t excellent. Perhaps you didn’t take action and needed you had, or the other way around.
If you check out the lists, you’ll start seeing patterns. Many of us know that they will believe their Intuition, and sometimes once they don’t, there are consequences. Many of us see that their biggest regrets happened once they did not heed their Intuition.
So, start by becoming more aware once you are accessing your Intuition. Write a journal, keep an inventory, or make attention. Heighten your awareness, and therefore the rest is going to be easy.
Improving Intuition: you’ll improve it by listening to your Intuition. Sometimes the planet gets to be a prominent place and that we aren’t even aware that our Intuition is giving us warnings. Have you ever conversed to yourself “only give me a glance to conceive this into”? Or have you ever ever thought of “sleeping on it” once you are faced with a serious decision.

Give yourself time to seem at the info, reflect, concentrate on the patterns and relationships. Take walks in nature, relax, and take a warm shower. Writing down ideas, as an example, once you are close to sleep. Being self-reflective about your decisions. Develop your intuition skills over time. Its something that always grows and matures after practice, coaching, and feedback.
