Biggest Reality Hidden Behind UK Post-Study Work Visa

You are here: Home / News / Biggest Reality Hidden Behind UK Post-Study Work Visa

September 24, 2019 //  by Amit Kumar

The United Kingdom is trying to mend its policies to promote remote-future international student expansion. Recently The United Kingdom government extended the visa for the graduates to work after completing their graduation for two years. The UK government is trying to hover the students to work in the same country to build an unceasing advantage.

Despite so much of efforts put by the UK, it is still reported by the Migration Advisory Committee that 96 per cent of graduates after the completion of their degrees return to their home countries. Even if the graduates go to their motherlands, the government of the united kingdom is putting efforts to push graduates to work in companies or firms that develop their reputation.

The danger of the recent policies is the demand for citizenship of the students who work in the country. In spite of the mentioned danger, the government can still be flexible and give the students short term enrollment benefits which can be attained by improvising the policies further.

The factors that advocate the reason behind the obsession of universities with something that affects only a few students are many. While it ignores the desire for the students to continue employment back in their home country, the main reason is an expanding landscape of international students builds policy rivalry.

Working on global student employability is fierce, and many universities have not spent the time and money to comprehend the need for the actions to be taken. Many universities are more interested in their locals and do not commit to foreigners.

The reasons for the diminishing struggle in international students’ career are many. The failed attempts to establish a linear career data on which the policy is based are amongst the many reasons. The absence of objective data on UK graduates employers in the overseas market. The career services for international students are not properly resourced and even if they are only 2% of the foreigners use this service

Due to the less heed in international students, the responses of international graduates have also decreased from 40 to 20% from the last DLHE benchmark.

As the government is slowly recognizing the mistakes, it is trying to improve the policies that favour international students. There are many universities seen to take severe actions for global employability. They are now focusing on the alien providers to understand the parts where the culture and historical recruitment impressions give graduates benefits on returning to their motherlands. They are also trying to connect with influential alumni and of great worth to create strong stories of their brands to be recognized by overseas employers.

The fundamental whip of recruiting future students is based on good sustainable results and competitive advantages. Universities must have a global reputation which is the reason they should now take the international graduate results seriously. The competition increases as the days pass by, and it largely depends on the outcomes of the graduates who return to their home countries for further employment.
